The Community Portal is an interface for the College’s Student Information System, Synergetic and allows parents to view and update information related to their child(ren) and their own details. 

On this tool you can:

  • View and update details such as contact and medical information
  • View your child’s timetable, attendance details, results, and report cards
  • Book parent teacher interviews
  • View fee statements and other debtor receipts
  • Find email addresses of school staff and other useful contacts
  • Set visibility of your contact details to other parents and view details of parents in your child’s year level

What are the options I should be able to see?

The key features available to parents are labelled in the image below and are described in the numbered list below.

  1. Choose between the list of people related to your account. This appears on pages where information is available for specific users (eg. Timetables and Reports)
  2. Results –Currently this is used mainly for year 11 and 12 with continuous reporting
  3. My Details - update your contact details, includes medical, legal, dietary requirements and emergency contacts for children. Parents are encouraged to make sure their details are up-to-date
  4. Finance - view statements and receipts for bills such as school fees
  5. Timetable – View timetables for your child
  6. Interviews – Book and view Parent Teacher Interviews
  7. Reports – View and download academic reports
  8. Contact Us - Details for all staff related to your child/ren for timetabled teachers and co-curricular
  9. Parent Directory – Opt-in to share your contact details with other parents in your child’s year level (you must share at least 1 contact method to see others in the directory)
  10. Attendances – details your child’s attendance
  11. My Student Account – link to the student account system for tuckshop and printing

How do I view details or update details for a different family member?

The My details page allows you to update your contact details, and includes important information such as medical, legal, dietary requirements and emergency contacts for children. On this page the names are shown as tabs across the top rather than on the right. Tabs for a parent are coloured differently to those for students (see the image below). To make a change to the details click on the edit button for that section, make the changes, and then click save. Note that this sends a request for the information to be updated within our Synergetic information system – so the official change still needs to be made by a person on site.


How do I book Parent Teacher Interviews?

The Interviews tab allows you to book an interview time only during and active session. If there are no active sessions for your child, you will not see options available to book. To book during an active session, click “avail” link for the teacher you wish to meet at the time you would like. If you have more than one child choose a different child on the right of the screen and repeat the steps. You will be asked to confirm the booking time with a yes or no. Once you have finished booking, you can choose to print your appointment times. You can also cancel appointments in this same place as well.

If you don't see this tab, make sure you are signed in with your parent account and not as your child.

How do I find a list of parent contacts for my child's year level? 

You must share at least 1 contact method to see the directory of other parents who have agreed to share their contact details. Example below.

How do I view the contact details of teachers for my child?

The Contact Us tab on the Community Portal displays contact details relevant your children. It lists all the academic and co-curricular contacts for the child selected to the right of the page. While for some contacts a phone number is displayed, we recommend using email as the first point of contact as teachers are busy teaching during the workday. Additional contacts are collated on to a page on Firefly relevant to each sub school or on a relevant curriculum page. If you know the name or role of the person, using the Firefly search function can assist you in obtaining contact details.

In some instances you may want to contact someone not listed. In this case, the easiest solution is to phone main reception on 33776222 (Indooroopilly) or 3470 3888 (Springfield).
